SETS gives you query and reporting tools for summarizing evaluation data and identifying key trends.   Although SETS can present information in document formats, it actually stores it in a relational database amenable to queries based on specific sections and fields.  Once the information is in the database, it can easily be used and reused to answer a variety of questions, including:

  • What evaluation tasks have been done, and which need to be done, within a given school or across an entire district;
  • Whether evaluators are using the rating scales consistently or whether there is "grade inflation" in the work of certain evaluators;
  • District-wide analysis of staff strengths and weaknesses to inform staff development and identify teacher leaders;
  • Item-analysis of the evaluation items and rating rubrics themselves to improve both the design and implementation of your staff evaluation procedures.
